- Acca
- A single wager that links multiple selections together, requiring all of them to win for a payout.
- Arbitrage
- Placing bets on all possible outcomes of an event across different bookmakers to guarantee a risk-free profit.
- Asian Handicap
- A point spread that gives one team a virtual advantage or disadvantage to eliminate the draw outcome.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money set aside by a bettor for placing bets.
- BTTS
- A bet on whether both teams will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash Out
- A feature that lets you settle your bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Closing Line
- The final odds offered just before an event begins, considered the most accurate market price.
- Decimal Odds
- Odds expressed as a single number that includes the original stake, making it easy to calculate total returns.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible results of a match, increasing your chances of winning.
- Dutching
- Distributing your stake across several outcomes so that you profit regardless of which one wins.
- Fractional Odds
- Odds shown as a fraction that indicate how much profit you make relative to your stake.
- Goal Line
- The total number of goals set for a match, similar to over/under, used especially in Asian handicap betting.
- Handicapping
- The process of studying team and player data to estimate the likelihood of outcomes and find value bets.
- In-play
- Betting on a match after it has started, allowing you to react to how the game unfolds.
- Juice
- The commission or fee that a bookmaker charges for taking a bet, usually built into the odds.
- Kelly Criterion
- A formula that calculates the optimal percentage of your bankroll to wager based on the edge you have.
- Line Movement
- The change in odds or point spreads over time as bettors place bets and new information emerges.
- Moneyline
- A straightforward bet on which team will win the match, with odds reflecting the likelihood of each outcome.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals scored in a match will be higher or lower than a set number.
- Parlay
- A multi-selection bet where all chosen outcomes must win for you to receive a payout.
- Square
- A casual or recreational bettor who often bets based on intuition rather than detailed analysis.
- Stake
